We had fun. ;)
Light turnout this year. I think there were only 14 riders. We began with 200 meter flying starts. Can't remember who won but I'm sure Carol will get the info posted in the near future. Just a couple other races. Last man out, 65 to dead, two lap one-on-one random draw race, and the 30 minute race to end the day. No juniors showed up this year and none of the college teams were around. We were hoping for CalPoly since they'll be at BM this fall. Thought Todd or Calvin might pop in too as has happened in the past but also no shows. Gary Souza had the only velomobile. Peter Borenstadt was out sick and Greg Thomas didn't make it either. Both Larry and Frank Lem showed but only Larry raced.

Carol has finished the tallies from the races. For the 200's we use a flying start. The velodrome is about 335 meters and the timing, as always, is over the last 200 meters. We are allowed to choose one, two or three complete laps to get up to speed depending on the class. Generally velomobiles will take three complete laps and everyone else does two complete laps.

Will the mighty Phil Plath one day make a return to recumbent racing? I see he went pretty fast on his upright, just out speeding another "old-time" racer, one Mr. Lawrence Lem!
